Our summer garden (or Pumpkin Jungle as I like to call it) is really loving the hot weather, and I’m pretty sure the pumpkins are trying to take over the world.
The pumpkin vines ran out of room so they just decided to go up and over
the back fence. I am sure we’ll have some adventures this fall looking
for pumpkins down the hill behind the garden.

Dude the Scarecrow is being completely overtaken in their path, but he doesn’t seem to mind.
Dude likes pumpkins.
So
you don’t think it’s all pumpkins in our garden, I should also mention the green
beans, monstrous kale, chard, potatoes, onions, arugula, lettuce,
tomatoes, tomatillos, yellow summer squash, gourds and variety of
flowers.

Things are looking mighty colorful out there between the garden flags, sunflowers and bright yellow pumpkin flowers. I am happy to say, it’s a happening place.
Gardens are tenacious by nature, and ours is more than making up for the slug invasion and late start this year. I am looking forward to all those pumpkins and gourds that I’m going to find in the garden, outside the garden, on top of the compost pile…
Onward pumpkins!

Autumn Wings, birdhouse gourds, baby boo pumpkins, Jack-be-little pumpkins, and a gourd mix from Territorial Seeds. I really like my gourds ๐
