This is the scene we’ve been waking up to every morning for the last few days. The first hard frosts, and cold temperatures have been creating a winter white landscape that makes you really appreciate being in a warm house with a roaring fire going in the woodstove. Winter has definitely arrived.
This is the view from our dining room window, and it makes for a peaceful accompaniment to morning coffee.
Goat Peak got a dusting of snow, and the weather report keeps saying we might get some at our elevation. We’re keeping fingers crossed.
The recently fallen leaves of the hazelnut orchards have been replaced by sparkling white ice crystals and perfect stillness.
These cold, clear days are perfect to work outdoors in, so we should have some finished projects to report on soon (like the glass window greenhouse, but more on that later).
Welcome Winter!
